One of my early exposures to Jim was for a winter festival in Shawano. Mielke Theatre Park was assigned to house the "Snow Sculpture" event, and we were also to have a Entry. We of course came up with the typical ideas, a child, a house, a deer. Jim siad "No, you've got it all wrong". He said we should sculpt a group of guys pushing a car out of the ditch- which is what we did ... life size.. and we won first prize.
